For Apoidea, my web page at http://entmuseum9.ucr.edu/entmus/beepage.html
has an up-to-date classification down to subgenus, and I have this file
available in database format as well, upon request. I have a similar file
for Sphecoidea, but it lacks most of the name authorships and synonymies.
There is a CD-ROM available for the entire Chalcidoidea. Other such
resources (e.g. ITIS) are spotty; electronic authority files for arthropods
on a worldwide basis are still in their infancy, excluding a few select
taxa, such as the above two, Orthoptera, Diptera, Trichoptera, Mecoptera,
Neuroptera, Zoraptera, and Collembola (see
http://www.nearctica.com/syst/author/icheck.htm). If anyone knows of any
other worldwide, all-inclusive databases not listed on the above page, I'd
like to know, too.

Peace,
