Entomology Collections Manager Position

ENTOMOLOGY COLLECTIONS MANAGER

The University of Nebraska State Museum seeks a full-time Collections
Manager for the Division of Entomology.  Duties include managing a major
research collection under the supervision of the Curator.   The Collection
Manager is responsible for preparation of specimens, processing loans,
electronic databasing, insect identification, organization of collections,
organization of library, maintenance of lab facilities/equipment, public
outreach. Attendance and presentation of a paper at national meetings
encouraged and some or all funding is usually available.  The Division's
collections rank among the 20 largest in the United States and also include
most of the national collection of scarab beetles from the Smithsonian
Institution as an off-site enhancement loan.  Minimum qualifications are an
M.S. degree in entomology plus systematics experience; equivalency
considered.  Experience with collection management required.  Experience
with electronic databasing desirable.  Some research in taxonomic area of
