Dear list members, the entomological library of the late Dr. Alfons Evers,
Krefeld, some may know him from his publishing company Goecke & Evers, that
has found its home in our section, can be visited from now on - after a
long period of cleaning.
This special library of monographs contains 1349 books in 1960 volumes from
between 1746 an 1998. Focus is on Coleoptera, insect faunas and general
textbooks on entomology. Furthermore, there are books on evolution,
taxonomy, systematics, phylogeny, science history, geology, paleontology,
microscopy,
gemenal books on biology, botany and fanuas and floras.
The second part contains 304 entomological journals and series from 1778 to
1998. Almost all of them are bound (c. 5,000 volumes) and are in good
condition.
Journals and books are catalogued according to international library
standards an can be searched on our website:

The literature can als be read in our libray, but we regret to say that due
to the last will we cannot lend any books and journals. Interested persons
may request for xerox copies. If we can't copy, we will try to digitise
pages with our digital equipment.
