Phenetic analysis programs

I would suggest you the "R" software (http://r-project.org) which is free
and has most of things one needs in phenetic analyses (PCA, factor analysis,
multidimensional scaling, many clustering methods etc. etc.). You can
download R itself as well as some additional "contributed packages" (e.g.
"cluster", "maptree", "multiv"...), depending on your particular needs.
With best regards

Subject: Phenetic analysis programs

Dear taxacomer,
Does anyone know what phenetic analysis programs available in the web site
free for down loading (which is relatively good)?
One of our staff is going to analyse data using phenetic analyses. We have
NTSYS available here, but in NTSYS there is not a 'section' that can be used
to identify what important characters are in the separation. NTSYS only
gives a phenogram. There is no further data exploration can be done.
Thank you in advance,
