Aloaceae & Asphodelaceae

Despite the fact that the group referred to as Aloaceae is a good natural group, which is reasonably distinct from other Asphodelaceae, I have adopted the Alooideae Link (1829) designation, since I am not aware of evidence of a closer link to any other family than to Asphodelaceae proper. If there were enough doubt about the monophyly of the combined family, I would gladly reconsider using the rank of family.

Perhaps someone could comment on the relationship between Asphodelaceae and Anthericaceae while we are on this topic?
