Actually, ATBI's do have a programmatic componenent to
create/train/employ parataxonomists, which in the numbers and
ways employed, themselves can enrich and augment both the
enterprise of learning more about and valuating our "places",
and can bring a heightened interest/concern to the regional
general public for the value of their local biodiversity. (That
is, were ATBIs to be adequately supported/funded.)
