How to start a herbarium

One hundred people have read my article since this morning,
or at least hyperlinked to it. I have received some very
kind and helpful suggestions off-list, and just finished
revising the article as a result. Thank you very much.
    The idea occured to me that an even more important
group of people who might be interested in such a
project might be agricultural extension agents, range
managers, forest rangers, etc.
