I would be grateful if anyone on this list might be able to provide
additional information or confirmation on the distribution of the
spider genus Desis (Desidae). My information from Roth (1967)
and Platnick (1993) is the following distribution: coasts of southern
and eastern Africa, southern India, eastern Asia, Japan, islands of the
south Pacific Ocean, Australia, and Galapagos Islands.

If anyone has information on other localities I would be very interested
to know. Also, any source that better defines the distribution would
be helpful. I have not yet come across a resolved phylogeny for
the species in my literature search, but if any exist this would also
be very helpful to a biogeographic paper in revision for publication.
Any contributed information will be gratefully acknowledged.
