Using a film scanner is the obvious answer, but, like Jacques, I can't get
it to work. However, using a decent digital camera (2400x1600 resolution) to
photograph the microfiche reader screen gives good results - barely
different to what's on the screen. (Of course, you might do better to
re-photograph the originals if they're still available.)
Hours of happy work for someone!
