Lat/long - UTM conversion

I suspect one could convert ddmmss to UTM on a GPS receiver in a pinch by
putting in a "waypoint" using one or the other coordinate system and setting
it to display in your favorite.  I also would not be surprised if some of
the available freeware and shareware available for interfacing with GPS have
a similar capability.  SOrry can't be more specific but there is a lot stuff
out there when you search "gps" on the web.
