geographical coordinates and accuracy

High accuracy where possible is desirable for many uses but IMHO not
always necessary or even good. If the description is adequate there's
not much difference between sub-meter accuracy and 100 meter precision
for the purpose of relocating a population. In the case of endangered
or very rare species which may stimulate commercial interest I think
that highly accurate location information should be carefully
controlled. Perhaps it should not be on the label but maintained in
the accession records or a database that requires permission to enter.
Unfortunately there are people that will exploit populations for
profit without regard for academic needs.
