From your description, it sounds like it could be _Nuzonia
nigropunctata_. Are the black spots very small? Any possibility of
scanning a picture of it?
Probably the best way to be sure would be L. Borowiec's 1999 "A World
Catalogue of the Cassidinae", or try to get his e-mail address and contact
him directly.
