Dear Dr. Chiapella,
Most type specimens described by M. Honda must be located at TI (University
Museum, Tokyo University), or else at TUS. For more detail, see below.
As for on-line database of type specimens, TI has recently launched
web-based catalog including Araceae, Crassulaceae, Rosaceae, Saxifragaceae.
But Gramineae is under preparation as I understand. For those interested in
the site:

Printed catalogs of type specimens at TI including Aquifoliaceae,
Caprifoliaceae,
Celastraceae, Crassulaceae, Rosaceae, Saxifragaceae have been issued so far,
but I don't know about Gramineae.
