Dear Dr. Vincent,
The information of the book of Japanese violets is as follows:
Author: Eisuke Hama (1975)
Jap. Title: Genshoku Nihon no Sumire
Publisher: Seibundo-shinkosha, Tokyo
Incidentally, as for Japanese violet book, the next book is highly
recommended:
Igari, M. (1996). Wild Violets of Japan. Yamakei Publishers, Tokyo
248pp. JPY2000. ISBN 4-635-07006-9
This book incudes 1100 pictures from 150 taxa of Japanese Viola.
All text except latin names are written in Japanease, though, I bet
it's still a must for violet enthusiasts as the book is full of extremely
excellent pictures. For more information, ask: info at yamakei.co.jp
All the best,
H. Funakoshi
