Ratio of valid to invalid (REPORT: 2)

I really should read these things over more carefully before sending them.
The conclusion should read:

"At least for plants, the ratio of accepted to unaccepted species names
averages from about 1:3 to 1:4, which is quite close to the estimate I
provided at the beginning of the thread. Data are as yet insufficient to
provide an estimate of the average number of valid species names per genus,
but it seems likely that a similar ratio will obtain."

I promise to drink some coffee now.
