     Bacterial systematics is real mess right now, but I would make two
suggestions for online information to get you started.
     Go to the NCBI Taxonomy Browser through the following link:
http://www3.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov , push the Taxonomy link and then the "tree"
link after that.
     Once you've explored that you might also want to check out my own
