Post-doctoral position in Plant Systematics at the Botanical Garden,
University of Zurich

A two- to three-year post-doctoral position in Plant Systematics is available
at the Botanical Garden, University of Zurich, starting preferably  in June
2000.  Annual salary starts at SFr 80,818.

The main research project will focus on studying the phylogeny and evolution
of breeding systems in the genus Primula. Resources available for research
include:  fully-equipped molecular systematics lab with technician, DNA
sequencing lab, computer lab, greenhouses, botanical garden, herbarium,
library.

Required qualifications of the candidates include familiarity with PCR, DNA
sequencing, data assembly and analysis.  Interest in conducting fieldtrips to
botanical gardens and working with live plants is preferred.
