I hope I can speak for the rest of the Listserve in saying that no apology
is necessary from you.  As I noted earlier, this thread crops up
periodically and some of us have strong opinions about what constitutes
proper usage.  I certainly have not been offended in any way by the
comments that have been made in sesponse to my notes.
