Forskal or Forrskal ?

I believe the original was FORSKAAL, or as I have seen it, a single letter
"a" with a wee circle above it. In Swedish, "aa" can be written as "aa",
or a single "a" with a little circle above it. The pronunciation is "oh" as
in the English word "oak".
