Bernarr,
Good thing you asked about "enallage".  Challenged, I started looking into
my grammar and regular dictionaries.  Taint there.  So, I then looked in the
fount of all English language words, the Oxford English Dictionary.  Voila.
There it is defined.  It is not an every-day word, and Mimi Harrington is to
be commended on calling it up.
