Temperatures for Freezers

The last literature I read suggests that -80C is what you want, at least for getting rid of beetles and such in herbarium specimens. At that temperature, 48 hours is usually sufficient. At higher temperatures, resistant life stages of some pests can survive, especially if the frozen material takes a while to reach the low temperature.
