Although I am not a Latin scholar
I suggest 'ranunculiformis', tadpole-shaped, as used in
Anemone ranunculiformis St.-Lag (Ranunculaceae)
Bupleurum r. St.-Lag. (Umbelliferae)
Rosa r. (Rosaceae) Steud.
'ranunculoides' can also be used, but may be confusing, as it also means
'looking like Ranunculus (butter-cup)'.
'commatiformis' comes to mind, but has apparently never been used in
flowering plants.
I note from R.W. Brown, Composition of scientific words (1956) 589, sub
'part', that 'comma' has been used in e.g.
Commatocerus (a beetle)
Polygonia comma (butterfly)
Vibrio comma (bacterium of Asiatic cholera)
