The Biopat company's activities is apparently intended as development aid,
promoted by the state-owned German Technical Cooperation Company (GTZ); see
http://www.gtz.de/presse/english/
So, littering tropical biota with the names of at least medium-rich Germans
is development! Flagrant hegemony (among other things!) is an alternative
label.
