SYMPOSIUM FLORA OF THE GREATER ANTILLES 2000

The New York Botanical Garden announces the Flora of the Greater Antilles
Symposium 2000 for Friday 23 June & Saturday 24 June 2000 at The Garden,
Bronx, New York.

The principal speakers (already scheduled) will be presenting the background
for understanding the flora of this region from The Cayman Islands and Cuba
to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. All participants are urged to present
posters on their investigations of the flora, vegetation, and ethnobotany of
the islands.

Details for persons interested in participating in the symposium will be
mailed or sent by email within one week of 25 February.  Registration,
abstract information and forms for reserving lodging at the college campus
adjacent to the New York Botanical Garden will be provided to those who
contact T. Zanoni, symposium coordinator.
