Dossier of Newsletters

Dear Taxacomers,

For the proceedings of the XVIIIth International Congress of Zoology in Athens (28 Aug.-2 Sept.,2000), I am interested to build a dossier of all the Newsletters  of the different   taxon societies, associations,etc. .  The desideratum is to establish both an interaction between the newsletter, and more important, to create an international clearing house for taxonomic expertise.  We want to drive home the request that each ecological study must be in the future  based on  properly identified material   and not on  vague  categories like "oligochets"  , Chironomidae or  Daphnia sp.  I am sure that all of you  know long list of such completely useless  "studies". Fortunes are being spent on such "irreproducible " results.  Some of these moneys should be channelled to us !The clearing house could put the potential clients in contact with the relevant taxonomists.... of course  requesting  payment for  sorting,identifications, etc.
