No.  To account for observed phenomena, a past and a future require a
PRESENT in order to function.  There can be a past and a future ONLY IF
there is a present.

Accounting for observed phenomena as the consequence of a hypothetical
"past" is not unique to evolutionary biology (geology comes to mind). In
fact, causality, which is the foundation of science, requires either a past,
or a future, or both, to function.
