We have just started using the Australian KE-soft EMu (for Electronic
Museum) database management system, after a substantial tendering
process. It is a very comprehensive system, designed especially for
Museums, and has a particularly strong natural history capability.
It was installed here only two days ago, and so I probably shouldn't
make any comments about it yet! But certainly you really ought to
look at it as an option.
