I am conducting a molecular phylogenetic analysis of the Callandrena
subgenus of the genus Andrena, a group of solitary bees which are
oligolectic on the Asteraceae (sunflower family). I have about half of the
known species which occur in the United States, but am eager to obtain
additional material, either pinned or preserved in EtOH.
My species occur throughout the United States and many are emergent now.
I can send locality data for your region if you think that you might be
able to help. I am willing to exchange anything from bugs to beer!
Thanks in advance,
Leah Larkin
