Bill,
No need to have them shelling out more money for another book, when
there is plenty on the internet. And if you choose a good site, they are
likely to find it more interesting from a computer than a book anyway.
You might try the link below (ABCs of Plate Tectonics, or something like
that). And if they want to get into it more deeply, that site contains a
link to the U.S. Geological Survey site on plate tectonics.
