See the U.S.A. nationally syndicated Sunday newspaper supplement,
Parade Magazine, page 20(?), Nov 14, 1999, column of "Ask
Marilyn", for her ("Marilyn vos Savant") answer to the question:

"How do you feel about the decision by the Kansas State Board of
Education to delete evolution from the state's science standards
and to delegate this authority to the local school boards?
--Steve Alvarez, Wichita, Kan."

What is perhaps important to consider about this reply is that
"Ask Marilyn" is a very large circulation column, with I suspect
a certain level of "scientific authority" or at least "reasoned
thinking" credence given by the U.S.A. public readership. Does
Marilyn do the issue (the question) and her readership justice
(in her three brief paragraph reply)? (Her email address is
marilyn at parade.com (give your name/city/state)).
