No body told me and in fact I know the meaning of word as well as you do.
The only thing I was trying to point out was that we should not mix up
techinical terms with plain English. Common people connect "Ortho" with
bones (Orthopaedics) and we often hear people saying I want to show myself
to an Ortho.. (short for Orthopaedician). Now try as a fun. Ask some
nonbiologists the meaning of word "Ortho", and you will know what I was
trying to say.
Man I am practicing taxonomist for last thirty years, have described six
species new to science, proposed more than 15 name changes. Don't presume
than you know more Latin or Greek than me.
