I suspect James Bergdahl wants a stand-alone camera lucida, which is
an apparatus you clamp to the edge of your desk, that comes with a set
of little lenses you insert in a holder.  Its main use is is to draft
illustrations of specimens "in hand".  New, this type of camera lucida
runs to several hundred dollars US.
