In Memoriam

I have the sad duty to announce the passing away  on November 5  of Prof.
Adam Ben Tuvia , eminent ichthyologist and chief curator of the National
Fish Collection of Israel  at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
Adam was a lovely man, widely befriended   by his colleagues abroad  and an
outstanding specialist on Red Sea fish fauna and on Lessepsian migration
through the Suez Canal. He was teacher and counsel to the large and
prosperous community of fish breeders in Israel.
