Oh great.  So now we can expect hordes of students asking us for free
services while ignoring more appropriate (i.e., local) services?

By the way, the Usenet newsgroup sci.bio.botany already performs this
service better than TAXACOM does.  Sci.bio.botany (a) is devoted to
plants and (b) *welcomes* requests for "quick" plant identifications.

Just call me grumpy...
