Friends:

        I would be grateful for any advice from those of you who have either
visited or done field work (or both) in Ottawa County Ohio...especially
on North Bass Island and on Middle Bass island in Lake Erie. I'm
wondering how easy it is to get out to those places in the middle of
July, and how the locals react to the sight of a plant press--
