Mike,
I don't wish to nit-pick here, but there are other plants* than
flowering plants. If you are interested in including bryophytes,
lichens, algae, etc., the list will certainly be larger.
Matt von Konrat has already mailed bryonet-l anyway, so these are
being addressed. Off-hand there are at least one non-critical
liverwort (Cephaloziella nicholsonii) and one moss (Thamnobryum
cataractum), and surely many more.

* this is a bit like the old meaning of "wild-life", which in
practice means animals (and maybe the odd token or background
plant). Botanists on occasion grumble about this, but of course do
the same thing themselves to "sub-plants".
