What is the present state of the skull? Is it one that has had all the
flesh removed, but still looks
like it has been soaked in oil (discoloration)? Does it still have flesh or
tissues of some kind attached?
If it has no flesh, but does have some discoloration, you can try a 3%
solution of hydrogen peroxide.
Do not leave the skull in for extended periods - check frequently. The
Hydrogen peroxide will erode
the bones in time.
