Shamrock

Two rather trivial questions:
a) Does anyone know which species of Oxalis is being sold as Shamrock in
the US? Perhaps that should be restricted to the western US. It keys in
the Pacific Northwest to O. trilliifolia, but I am not sure whether it is
even a North American species.
b) What species do the Irish consider to be shamrock - or is it many species?
It would probably be best to reply to me directly and I will post a summary
of the responses to Taxacom in case anyone else is interested. Thank you.
