* Originally, *all* outdoor signs had to be in French only. Recently a
second language has been allowed, but the other language must be both
below the French and in significantly smaller letters (sounds like some
of the provisions of the botanical code, eh?). The Supreme Court says
that this violates the Canadian 'Charter of Rights and Freedoms,' but
the province props it up every 5 yrs with legislation under the 'not
withstanding clause' of the 1982 constition...
