The problem & a solution regarding

http://biogeo_GIS.listbot.com

which is the web access point of a new list announced by David Taylor,
and only place where one can subscribe to the list.

I wrote:

An explanation of why it is 'illegal' (not permitted syntax) and the conditions
necessary to  strike an error message, thus preventing access, is irrelevant
here. I'll just say that computer hostnames should preferably not have
anything other than A-Z, 0-9 characters in them. If they have underscores
or other weirdnesses then finicky cache servers may refuse to process the
URL at all.

Through devious means I found out an URL at listbot.com which should
work for everyone. It goes to the next page down at the site. Here it is
(should be pasted as one line):

http://www.listbot.com/
cgi-bin/view_archive?Act=view_archive&list_id=biogeo_GIS
