Sorry, the crucial word latin was omitted from this sentence:
It should read "Taxonomic diagnoses in latin....."
Actually, in my group (Hydrozoa) Latin descriptions were abandoned
begin of 1800, with very few isolated Latin diagnoses until 1890 isolated.
