VICE PRESIDENT FOR SCIENCE AN LIBRARY=20

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden, with a history of 89 years of botanical
research, is seeking a senior administrator to lead its Department of
Science and Library Services. The Garden's research focus on floristics =
and
horticultural taxonomy includes an active education program at the high
school and graduate level. Library servies include a 57,000-volume =
research
library and a public Gardeners Resource Center.

Responsibilities include administration of 15 staff and an annual =
operating
budget $1 million, coducting own research, expanding the funding base =
for
research programs, participation in the organizational senior mgmt team =
and
working effectively with the public, staff, board, volunteers and
colleagues. Ph.D. in the plant sciences with demonstrated research =
record,
strong administrative and leadership skills with 10 yrs professional =
