A new release of this package is available at
                 http://biodiversity.uno.edu/delta/lep/

The package was developed for hands-on demonstrations of the interactive
identification and information retrieval program Intkey, at the open days of
the CSIRO Division of Entomology. It works only for the particular set of 32
butterflies and moths (Lepidoptera) used in the demonstrations, and should
not be applied to general identification of butterflies or moths. It can be
used by children aged 4 and older, but the youngest children, especially
those who cannot read, will need help to get started.

Intkey requires MS-Windows V3.1 or later. It will also run under SoftWindows
on a Macintosh. It is not necessary to register Intkey for use with the
Lepidoptera data.

The changes in the new version are: pop-up hotspots are used in the
character images; the images have been converted from GIF to JPEG; the
images can be printed from HTML files.
