Dear Clark You can find a useful list of symbols used in Entomology in the Appendix B, at the pages 326-328 of Torre Bueno's "A glossary of Entomology". Please note that I am referring to the 1937 edition. There is a newest one, which I have not seen, and so I cannot tell you if it has the same symbols.
