Manuscripts on animal systematics and evolution wanted!
Journal of Zoological Systematics and Evolutionary Research (JZSER) provides
an international forum for papers on zoological systematics and evolutionary
research. The journal offers a competent survey of the diversity of
evolutionary research and related fields.
The journal contains only original articles published in English, German or
French with abstracts in at least two languages.
The publishers of JZSER (Blackwell Wissenschafts-Verlag) have decided to
increase the size of each of the four yearly issues by 33% (from 48 to 64
[large] pages). Those who are writing, or a planning to write, suitable
papers dealing with systematics, phylogeny, analytical biogeography,
evolutionary biology and/or population genetics of animals therefore now
have an additional reason for submitting manuscripts to JZSER, since the
time between submission and publication is expected to be particularly short
for papers submitted within the next several months. Please notice that
purely taxonomical papers are not within the scope of the journal. Reviewing
of manuscripts will be stern but fair and quick.
Twenty-five reprints are provided without charge, and more may be
purchased.
JZSER is indexed/abstracted, i.a., in Biological Abstracts, Current
Contents, Ecological Abstracts, Entomology Abstracts, Science Citation
Index, and Zoological Record.
Instructions for authors may be found on the Blackwell's homepage:
http://www.blackwis.de where you can also see tables of contents of recent
issues and other information about the journal.
Please send your manuscripts to one of the editors:
Prof. Dr. D. Sperlich, Biologisches Institut der Universität, Auf der
Morgenstelle 28, D-72076 Tübingen, Germany (manuscripts dealing with
evlutionary genetics)
Prof. Dr. M. Fischer, Institut für Spezielle Zoologie der Universität,
Ertbertstr. 1, D-07743, Jena, Germany (manuscripts dealing with vertebrates)
Prof. Dr. H. Enghoff, Zoologisk Museum, Universitetsparken 15, DK-2100
København Ø, Denmark (manuscripts dealing with arthropods)
Prof. Dr. G. Osche, Institut für Biologie (Zoologie) der Universität,
Hauptstr. 1, D-79104 Freiburg, Germany (manuscripts dealing with
non-arthropod invertebrates or general evolutionary biology)
When in doubt, send the manuscript to Prof. Sperlich who is editor-in-chief.
