Grielum grandiflorum L. (=G.tenuifolium L.) occurs naturally on the
west coast of the Western Cape, South Africa (just north of Cape
Town) where it inhabits sandy flats and dune areas. It is an
prostrate annual with silvery leaves and large bright yellow glossy
flowers.
