I thank the three people who responded to my query as
to whether or not Index Kewensis is available on-line.
The answer appears to be "no." Someone said it is available
on CD-ROM for $1500, making it slightly out of my price
range (by about $1499).
    Let me approach the question differently in the hopes that
someone can help me out. Working in a vacuum is difficult;
there is no good botanical library within 30 km of my
current location, and I need a piece of information to solve
a question of priority.
   There was a paper with my name on it published in
Acta Botanical Indica 25:243-246. It was dated 1997. I need to
know what month it was officially published, according to
the criteria specified for effective publication laid out
in the ICBN. Can anyone help me? I shall be eternally
grateful for any assistance.
