                          Computer Specialist

The Systematic Entomology Laboratory, United States Department of
Agriculture announces an imminent search for one Computer Specialist,
GS7/9, at its locations at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center,
Beltsville, MD and the National Museum of Natural History, Washington, DC.
The position will involve management of the laboratory Intranetware WAN,
GroupWise email system, Microsoft NT4/Sybase SQL Anywhere database server,
and Microsoft NT4/Microsoft Internet (web) Server as well as support of
users of network workstations running Windows 95/98, Windows NT4, and Apple
Mac OS. The vacancy is a permanent, full-time position. The official
opening date for applications has been set as Oct. 5 and will close
November 2, 1998.
