Symposium: Origin and Early Evolution of Birds

The Peabody Museum of Natural History and the Department of Geology and
Geophysics, Yale University, will present, "New Perspectives on the Origin
and Early Evolution of Birds," an international symposium in honor of Prof.
John H. Ostrom, Curator Emeritus of Vertebrate Paleontology, on February 13

In conjunction with the symposium, the Peabody is also hosting an exhibit,
"China's Feathered Dinosaurs" from February 13-May 9, 1999. The exhibit
looks at recently discovered fossils from China that shed light on the
origin of birds.
