------- Start of forwarded message -------

Michael Rosenzweig has resigned as editor-in-chief of
Evolutionary Ecology. So have the rest of its editors. They are
all editing a new journal called Evolutionary Ecology Research.
Examine the home page of this new journal:
www.evolutionary-ecology.com. There you will discover the titles
and authors of the first two issues.

Approximately 1 December, the journal will post the papers of its
first issue on its home page. You may see them there without
charge. Later in December, its first issue will be printed. It
will be distributed in January.

Please ask your librarian to subscribe. Subscription forms and
details are available on the home page. Subscription is quite
inexpensive, and all members of subscribing Japanese institutions
may receive their own personal copies of the journal for USD $41.

Whether or not your library subscribed to Evolutionary Ecology in
the past, and whether or not it plans to continue its
subscription, the library should subscribe to Evolutionary
Ecology Research. In addition to EER's interesting and high
quality articles, EER has joined with librarians in an effort to
bring down the costs of commercial journals. EER is a partner of
SPARC, the Association of Research Libraries' project to develop
alternatives to high priced commercial journals.

P.S. If you're wondering why Rob didn't post this message himself,
dorkslayers.com has blacklisted our campus mainframe, and the
mainframe folks haven't fixed it yet.
